Legal & Privacy

Effective on publication · Last updated July 12, 2026 · Version 1.0 (draft)

In these documents, “LifeLedgerX,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean LifeLedgerX, a Canadian company. For anything — questions, privacy requests, a consultation, or support — contact us at support@lifeledgerx.io.

LifeLedgerX is two things: a set of free educational resources about metabolic health (articles, videos, the Five Pillars, the Toolbox calculators, and the self-assessment), and an optional paid 1:1 consultation and ongoing mentorship with founder Foster Carr. None of it is medical care — the Medical Disclaimer below is important, and it is part of your agreement with us.

Your agreement is with us, a Canadian company. These documents are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Wherever you live, if you’re outside Canada your local mandatory consumer-protection and privacy rights still apply to the extent they reach a foreign company — each section’s “If you’re outside Canada” note explains how to exercise them with us.

If anything ever seems to conflict, the Privacy Policy controls how we handle your personal data and Payment & Consultation controls paid consultations and purchases; otherwise the Terms of Service govern.

1. Terms of Service

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and LifeLedgerX, a Canadian company, for your use of the LifeLedgerX website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service — browsing the resources, using a tool, or booking a consultation — you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1.1 What LifeLedgerX is.

LifeLedgerX is a metabolic-health education and mentorship service. The website offers free educational resources — articles, videos, the Five Pillars, self-guided calculators, a glossary, and a self-assessment — to help you understand and reflect on your own metabolic health. Separately, you can book a paid 1:1 consultation and arrange ongoing mentorship with founder Foster Carr. LifeLedgerX is not a medical service, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional advice. The Medical Disclaimer is part of these Terms.

1.2 Eligibility.

You must be 18 or older to book a consultation or mentorship. The Service isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we’ll delete it, subject to legal obligations.

1.3 Using the Service.

You don’t need an account to read the resources or use the tools — they’re open to everyone. When you contact us or book a consultation, you’re responsible for the information you give us; please keep it accurate, and tell us promptly at support@lifeledgerx.io if something needs correcting.

1.4 The resources are free; mentorship is paid.

The educational resources and tools on this site are free to use — no payment, no card, no subscription. The 1:1 consultation and any ongoing mentorship are paid services. Everything about pricing, scheduling, cancellations, and refunds is in Payment & Consultation, which controls on those topics.

1.5 Acceptable use.

Don’t break the law or infringe others’ rights using the Service; don’t reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or probe it; don’t resell or commercially exploit the Service; don’t upload malware; don’t submit content that’s unlawful or that you have no right to share. We may restrict or decline service to anyone who violates these Terms, with notice where practicable.

1.6 Your content.

You keep ownership of what you send us (your messages, the details you share in a consultation inquiry, and anything you provide during mentorship — “Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and use Your Content solely to respond to you and provide the Service. We don’t use Your Content for advertising, don’t sell it, and don’t use it to train general-purpose AI models. To ask for a copy of what you’ve sent us, or to have it deleted, email support@lifeledgerx.io.

1.7 How we use AI.

We use language models as a drafting tool for some of the educational content on this site, always with editorial review before publication (see our Editorial Policy). We do not send the personal information you submit through our forms to AI systems, and no automated system makes decisions about you.

1.8 Availability and changes.

We may add, change, or remove resources, tools, and service offerings. We aim to keep the Service running but don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

1.9 “As is”.

The free resources and tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent the law allows. This doesn’t remove any mandatory consumer-protection right you have where you live, and it doesn’t limit the paid-service commitments in Payment & Consultation.

1.10 Governing law and disputes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t take away the protection of mandatory laws of your home jurisdiction, or your right to bring a claim locally where the law gives you that right. We don’t require binding arbitration or class-action waivers — disputes go to the courts, preserving the local rights described above.

1.11 Changes to these Terms.

We may update these Terms. For material changes we’ll note the update here with a new date; if a change affects a consultation you’ve already booked, we’ll tell you directly.

1.12 A few general points.

If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. These documents are the whole agreement between you and us. You can’t transfer this agreement to someone else; we can — for example, if the business is sold. And we’re not responsible for failures caused by things outside our reasonable control (such as an outage or a natural disaster).

If you’re outside Canada. Your agreement is still with LifeLedgerX under Alberta law, but your local mandatory consumer protections continue to apply to the extent they reach us, and you can exercise them with us at support@lifeledgerx.io.

Accessibility. We want LifeLedgerX to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA and build accessibility into our release process — keyboard navigation, sufficient contrast, screen-reader compatibility, and plain-language content. To report a barrier or request an alternative format, contact support@lifeledgerx.io.
